Word on the street is that Primark will soon be opening in Jerez. I don´t know if that is such a good thing for me as I am such a sucker for a Primark bargain. Not sure when it opens so will report back. I made this exciting discovery yesterday on a Christmas shopping trip`in Gibraltar. There was a poster advertising a coach trip to Primark Jerez. I could barely contain my exicitement, sad I know but I am not ashamed to admit that half of my wardrobe has the word atmosphere printed on the labels.
Anyway just for the record, Gibraltar was buzzing with christmas shopping spirit. Marks and Spencers and BHS were full of present hunters and could easily have been mistaken for any UK store at this time of year.
My advice for anyone christmas shopping in Spain would be to avoid Carrefour. Despite christmas preparation gradually creeping forward adn the spanish beginning to shop earlier, Carrefour have made no provision when it comes to extra staff. The queues are long and very slow. I would love to see the average lacklustre carrefour worker behind a till during the christmas period on Oxford Street. I know thats mean but the whole chatting with the colleague on the next till and generally being made to feel like an inconvenience and not a valued, paying customer can get irritating.

hip hip horay! Primark Jerez is open xxxx
Is it possible you could let the other poor saps such as I living in Spain where this Primark is ( Jerez I presume) but also whether there are any others in the country.I am astounded that I have not seen many of the shops around bearing in mind how popular it is in U.K and it is a Spanish company!!!I love Primark and have to travel back to the U.K regularily with empty suitcases in order for me to get my fix!!!
Primark is actaully a sibsidiary of Associate British Foods, where they consider Primark an Irish company. anyway if you look at Primark.es you can see there are plenty of stores around Madrid but not much else, Murcia, and a few up north.
